Electrical Assembler/General Helper-Cooper Lighting Solutions
About The Position
This is an Electrical Assembler-General Helper position with Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, in Hicksville, New York. The role involves assembling, wiring, inspecting, testing, and packaging lighting fixtures using an assembly-line or workbench process. The employee enters complete and accurate work-order information, performs quality checks in accordance with inspection and control plans, works with groups of employees in a team-based environment, and follows job-specific and site-wide health and safety procedures. The position is represented by IBEW Local 3. The starting rate is $17.59 per hour.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal English.
- Ability to pick up fixtures, lamps, sheet metal, sheet-metal parts, and small wires and parts.
- Ability to lift and carry fixtures weighing 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
