About The Position

Signify is hiring an Assembler for Cooper Lighting Solutions in Americus, Georgia. The role involves assembling, wiring, inspecting, testing, and packaging lighting fixtures through an assembly-line or workbench process while meeting efficiency and quality expectations. The assembler records complete and accurate work-order information, performs quality checks in line with inspection and control plans, keeps equipment and work areas clean and orderly, and maintains the 5S+ check sheet. The role also requires bringing health and safety concerns, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management’s attention. The stated schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Requirements

High school education or equivalent (diploma or GED) from an accredited institution is preferred.
Ability to work 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach forward, and stand for up to 8 hours.
Ability to regularly lift 40 pounds without assistance.
Ability to use hand and power tools as required.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.

Responsibilities

Assemble, wire, inspect, test, and package fixtures using an assembly-line or workbench process efficiently and without quality defects.
Enter complete and accurate work-order information as required.
Perform quality checks consistent with inspection and control plans.
Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
Maintain the 5S+ check sheet (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
Bring health and safety issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management’s attention.
