About The Position

DisplayMax, Inc. is hiring a 4th- or 5th-year Electrical Apprentice for commercial electrical work in the Great Lakes states. The position is based in Michigan and requires travel with a small crew to client retail stores, with employees away from home during the work week and home on weekends. Work is performed overnight while stores are closed; the typical shift is 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM. The apprentice will contribute to commercial electrical projects, including rerouting checkout lanes and installing refrigeration electrical systems. The role also involves installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment; following safety protocols and electrical codes; documenting work; assisting with general labor; and helping maintain vehicles, tools, and clean work sites.

Requirements

Be a licensed Electrical Apprentice in Michigan.
Live in Michigan due to the location of the travel.
Have a minimum of 7,000 verifiable hours of on-the-job experience.
Be ready to take the Journeyman Electrician exam in Michigan.
Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Be willing to travel and stay away from home during the work week, returning home on weekends.
Have a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
Be coachable and eager to learn.
Be familiar with the National Electrical Code (NEC), state, and local electrical codes.

Responsibilities

Travel with a small crew to client retail stores.
