About The Position

The Electric Power Generation (EPG) Field Technician position is responsible for accurately diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing basic operational failures to electrical generator systems and related basic engine failures at customer sites. Minimum of three years' relevant Electrical Power Generation (EPG)/electronics field experience required to be eligible for the $10,000 sign-on bonus. Candidates with less than 3 years’ Electrical Power Generation (EPG)/electronics field experience are eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Bonuses are made in 2 equal installments at 90 days and 180 days of employment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years' relevant Electrical Power Generation (EPG)/electronics field experience required to be eligible for the $10,000 sign-on bonus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to interact professionally with customers and all of levels of personnel within the organization
  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Able to perform well under stressful situations
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to learn and apply new knowledge
  • Self-directed and well organized with the ability to prioritize workload while providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent driving record required with the ability to obtain a CDL and/or DOT certification
  • Able to work additional hours as required and travel out of town, including out of the country to meet customers’ demands
  • Proficient in the use of technical software, databases and manuals
  • High school diploma or GED, required
  • Ability to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 70 pounds, including bulky objects
  • Repeated reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and climbing
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
