Electric Panel Builder
About The Position
SJE is hiring an Electric Panel Builder to support its Altronex brand at its Madison, Wisconsin location. Altronex provides control solutions for the municipal water and wastewater industries, including custom-engineered control panels, SCADA and telemetry systems, panel fabrication, systems integration, and field services. The Electric Panel Builder constructs electrical control panels that manage water movement for cities, municipalities, and residential areas. The role involves laying out, fabricating, and assembling large, complex control panels and doors, installing components, and wiring panels according to schematic diagrams. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with flexible overtime.
Requirements
- Experience assembling and wiring control panels.
- Experience working with blueprints, schematics, and a bill of materials.
- Electrical theory and measurement skills.
- Experience with light metal fabrication techniques.
- Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, punches, jigsaws, and crimpers.
Responsibilities
- Lay out, fabricate, and assemble large, complex electrical control panels and doors.
- Install components and wire control panels based on schematic diagrams.
