Elderly In-Home Care Provider/CNA
About The Position
Consumer Direct Care Network is recruiting compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Caregivers/CNAs to provide 24/7 in-home support for a woman in Watertown, Wisconsin. The role involves consistent, hands-on assistance with daily needs and supporting the client’s physical well-being, emotional comfort, dignity, and quality of life. The ideal candidate has experience in hospice, palliative, or long-term care and can foster a calm, respectful, patient-centered environment sensitive to end-of-life support. The work takes place in the client’s home. Flexible daytime hours are available, up to full time, with hours based on applicant availability. Reliability and clear communication are essential. Compensation is $16.32–$17.32 per hour. New hires who complete CDCP training may receive up to $500 in training and retention bonuses during their first six months. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, that party—not CDCN—will be the legal employer and has sole authority to hire or dismiss the Direct Care Worker; CDCN assists with recruiting.
Requirements
- At least one year of caregiving experience; elderly care experience is preferred.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
- Strong communication skills, kindness, and dependability.
- Must pass caregiver and criminal background checks.
- Reliability and clear communication.
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification.
- Experience in hospice, palliative, or long-term care.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
- Assist with toileting, repositioning, catheter and ostomy care, and use of medical equipment.
- Prepare meals, assist with feeding, and perform light household tasks such as laundry and sweeping.
- Accompany the client to appointments or outings using a handicap-accessible van.
- Maintain clear communication with the care team.
