About The Position

Novelis is seeking EHS Coordinators for its Bay Minette, Alabama team. The role supports environmental, health, and safety programs across manufacturing areas and central services, helping ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Coordinators work with employees, management, and external agencies to minimize risks and improve workplace safety. They maintain safety records, track compliance activities, coordinate training, and assist with reporting and documentation. Novelis is a global aluminum recycling and rolling company and sustainable aluminum solutions provider. Its newly announced Bay Minette facility is expected to create approximately 1,000 advanced manufacturing careers and will primarily serve beverage can and automotive customers.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
2–4 years of experience in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment.
Experience in EHS, compliance, or manufacturing support.
Familiarity with OSHA, First Aid, and other industrial regulations.

Responsibilities

Maintain and organize EHS records and documentation, prepare reports, and track key safety and environmental data.
Coordinate meetings, safety committees, and training sessions.
Support and update EHS policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Assist with incident reporting and follow-up documentation.
Conduct basic safety inspections and support waste-disposal tracking and basic environmental compliance tasks.
Support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space, Machine Guarding, and PPE compliance programs.
Coordinate employee safety training and toolbox talks, ensuring personnel understand workplace safety requirements.
