About The Position

As an EHS Coordinator, you will play a critical role in creating and maintaining a safe, compliant, and engaged workplace. You will partner with site leadership and employees to strengthen safety programs, drive regulatory compliance, reduce workplace risks, and promote a culture where safety is a shared responsibility. Through training, investigations, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives, you will help ensure operational excellence while protecting our people and workplace.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety, environmental, manufacturing, industrial, or a related field.
Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.
Strong communication, presentation, and employee training skills.
Experience conducting incident investigations, audits, inspections, and root cause analysis.
Ability to maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management systems.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs throughout the facility.
Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to use computers and office equipment for extended periods.
Ability to perform inspections, audits, investigations, and training activities throughout the facility.
Occasionally bend, kneel, and stoop.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
Experience in food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or a highly regulated production environment.
OSHA certifications (OSHA 30, OSHA 500/501, or equivalent).
Knowledge of workers’ compensation programs and claims management.
Experience with environmental compliance programs and reporting requirements.
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
Professional certifications such as ASP, GSP, CSP, or CHST.

Responsibilities

Administer and support safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, environmental, and company requirements.
Coordinate and deliver safety training, new hire onboarding, and ongoing safety awareness initiatives.
Conduct facility inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
Maintain OSHA logs, safety records, training documentation, and regulatory compliance reports.
Monitor injury, illness, and incident trends and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Support Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Hazard Communication (HazCom), and other core safety programs.
Collaborate with employees and leadership to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks.
Assist with regulatory inspections, audits, workers’ compensation investigations, and related follow-up activities.
Promote continuous improvement through safety initiatives, employee engagement, and best practices.
Support site safety committees and daily Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) activities.
Serve as backup for critical safety functions during the absence of the Operations Safety Manager.
