About The Position
La Clinica de Familia (LCDF), a Federally Qualified Health Center with several locations in Southern New Mexico, provides medical, dental, behavioral health, and educational services to people of all cultures. The EHS Assistant supports Early Head Start staff and is prepared to provide coverage in the classroom, kitchen, and administrative areas as needed. This is a non-exempt position paying $15.00.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Work toward a CDA in Infants & Toddlers, which must be completed within one year of employment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Computer knowledge.
- Excellent observational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Completed CDA or an associate degree in Early Childhood Development or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Cover in a classroom and provide active supervision.
- Plan and implement lesson plans.
- Conduct screenings and assessments, using observational skills.
- Cover the front desk and answer phones.
- Schedule therapists and receive deliveries.
- Ensure children are picked up by individuals listed on the pickup list.
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
- Sanitize dishes.
