EHR Senior Application Analyst (PB)
About The Position
Prime Healthcare is seeking an EHR Senior Application Analyst to design, build, test, train, and support its Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Under minimal direction, this role contributes to optimizing and configuring the EHR and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support effective use of Epic applications, patient care, and operational efficiency. The Analyst independently maintains the system and performs day-to-day support, exercising judgment and discretion with little or no supervision. The position also performs complex design and analysis related to hospital business operations and mentors other analysts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Nursing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in Epic applications; any new certifications must be obtained within three months of hire.
- Four years of experience implementing, configuring, and supporting Epic EHR applications.
- Proficiency in system configuration, customization, and optimization within the Epic environment.
- Strong understanding of hospital business operations and structure, clinical workflows, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and the use of IT applications in healthcare practice.
- Strong computer skills, including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Documented technical expertise in analysis, process design and workflow, research, installation or implementation, and EHR systems support.
- Ability to independently prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects or priorities.
- Customer-service orientation and excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% and take calls as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience implementing or supporting EMR systems involving two or more Epic applications.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- PMP certification.
