About The Position

The EH&S Technician plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment by supporting the implementation and monitoring of environmental, health, and safety programs. This position is responsible for conducting inspections, collecting data, and assisting in the investigation of incidents to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies. The EH&S Technician collaborates with various departments to promote safety awareness and continuous improvement in workplace practices. By accurately documenting findings and maintaining records, the technician helps drive informed decision-making and risk mitigation strategies. Ultimately, this role contributes to protecting employees, the environment, and company assets through proactive safety management and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
  • Experience with conducting safety inspections and audits in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document findings and maintain records.
  • Proficiency in using standard office software and EH&S management systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field preferred.
  • Certification such as OSHA 30-Hour, HAZWOPER, or Certified Safety Technician (CST).
  • Experience with environmental sampling and monitoring equipment.
  • Familiarity with incident investigation methodologies and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, safety data sheets (SDS), and regulatory standards.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively train and engage employees on EH&S topics.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with EH&S regulations and company standards.
  • Assist in the investigation and documentation of workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collect and analyze environmental and safety data, including air quality, chemical usage, and waste management metrics.
  • Support the development and delivery of EH&S training programs to employees and contractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, training, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement safety improvements and environmental initiatives.
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
