About The Position

AllState Career in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking an experienced and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assisting faculty member to teach in its Expanded Functions Dental Assisting Program. The position is part-time and reports directly to the Dean of Education. The primary responsibility is teaching General Duties Expanded Function Dental Assisting courses. The typical teaching load is two courses per term, with one or two preparations. The instructor also provides academic advising and participates in department training, meetings, and graduation.

Requirements

• Completion of a Dental Assisting program and additional training in General Duties Expanded Function Dental Assisting, resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma.
• General Duties Expanded Function Dental Assistant certification from the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners.
• Registered Dental Assistant or Certified Dental Assistant certification.
• DANB RHS certification.
• At least three years of experience as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven.

Nice To Haves

• An associate degree is preferred but not required.
• Prior higher education or postsecondary teaching experience.
