About The Position

The Part-Time Academic Instructor provides individualized, one-on-one instruction to students from elementary through high school at an in-person learning center. Instructors are matched with students based on subject expertise, strengths, and experience, and use pre-designed, individualized student programs rather than creating lesson plans or handling grading, paperwork, or parent meetings. The role focuses on helping students understand academic concepts, develop effective learning strategies, build confidence and motivation, and work toward their academic goals.

The position welcomes candidates at all experience levels, including experienced educators, recent graduates, and professionals exploring teaching. Paid initial and ongoing training and structured instructional programs are provided. Opportunities are part-time and year-round, with afternoon, evening, weekend, and summer availability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong commitment to student learning and academic success.
• Ability to provide in-person instruction at the learning center.
• A positive, patient, and supportive approach to working with students.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching certification or state teaching license.
• Previous teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or other educational experience.
• Spanish-speaking proficiency.
