The technologist will assist physicians as required with EMG and nerve conduction studies. They support an organizational culture of Service Excellence.

Requirements

  • Current CPR.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year previous experience required
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Ability to speak and hear, to allow discussions with employees and peers.
  • Ability to cope with and remain calm under stress
  • Ability to respond to pages
  • Bending, lifting (30-50 lb range), grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing and pulling, prolonged standing and/or sitting.
  • Ability to discriminate color.
  • Quantitative/mathematical ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, standard/metric measurements).
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years preferred experience

Responsibilities

  • Provides patient care services to patients of all ages from neonates to geriatric
  • Transports patients to and from Neurosciences department.
  • Prepares patient for prescribed test.
  • Performs test in accordance with physicians's orders.
  • Assesses the quality of the test.
  • Communicates the results of the test in a timely manner to the physician.
