About The Position

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an Educational Sales Consultant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to drive growth and shape the future of both the IXL and Rosetta Stone K-12 platforms. The company is looking for creative thinkers with a competitive spirit who can master and improve sales strategies and processes. The ideal candidates will have energy and compassion, and can make learning about IXL and Rosetta Stone an enjoyable experience for educators. This is a remote position requiring regular field visits throughout the Bronx and Manhattan, so candidates must live in or near these boroughs.

Requirements

BA/BS degree
3+ years of educational sales experience
Familiarity with Web-based technologies
Aptitude for working under pressure and meeting deadlines
Ability to apply energy and creativity to meeting sales goals
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated success at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Classroom experience and/or a related educational field preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
Passion for bringing technology into the classroom

Responsibilities

Effectively communicate key product features and benefits to prospective customers
Develop a keen understanding of customer needs and values in order to provide personalized assistance throughout the sales process
Meet sales goals on a consistent basis
Help to design and implement new and creative sales strategies
Understand and keep up-to-date with ever-changing market trends
Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective customers
Gather customer feedback to help improve and enhance product offerings
Promote IXL and Rosetta Stone at educational technology conferences nationwide
Ability to travel 75-80% with periodic overnights as required
