About The Position

The School of Psychological Sciences at Monash University is seeking an experienced Educational Designer to support continuous improvement in teaching and learning. This role involves collaborating with educational designers, learning designers, academic staff, and professional teams to provide expert advice on the effective use of educational technologies to enhance student learning. A primary focus is ensuring educational innovation is grounded in sound pedagogical principles while respecting academic disciplinary expertise. Within the School Education Portfolio, this position will support the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives that strengthen online, blended, and flipped learning, eAssessment practices, and contemporary learning environments. The role also involves supporting the transition to emerging educational technologies, offering guidance and technical support, and contributing to strategic education projects. Additionally, the Educational Designer will help refine workflows and processes through digital tools and automation to improve efficiency and consistency in teaching and administrative tasks. The position requires a strong foundation in educational design and learning technologies, including curriculum design, constructive alignment of learning outcomes and assessment, and the development of engaging online learning activities. Familiarity with learning management systems such as Moodle and experience in workflow optimization and automation are essential. A relevant qualification in education, educational technology, Psychology, or a related STEM discipline is required, along with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
