About The Position
Vancouver Talmud Torah is seeking Educational Aides to work part-time and full-time, one-on-one, with primary and intermediate students for the 2026/27 school year. Vancouver Talmud Torah is an inclusive Jewish community day school committed to academic excellence and nurturing lifelong learners who engage the world through Jewish traditions and values. We provide a stimulating and challenging educational environment infused with meaningful learning experiences. Requirements
- Experience or training working with children with special education needs.
- Experience working in a school setting.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting students with neurodiversity is an asset.
- Formal education/training is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Work with students with learning needs and challenging behaviour in an inclusive classroom setting as well as on an individual or small group basis
- Support students in a variety of subject areas with planning, organization and time management
- Maintain student records, follow IEP recommendations, and review strategies
- Prepare additional resources and materials to support students with learning differences
- Work with classroom teachers to help them understand the needs of students
