About The Position

Curriculum Associates is seeking a temporary, part-time, per-diem Professional Learning Educational Consultant with a background in mathematics teaching, teacher coaching, professional development, data analysis, and working with school leaders. Working closely with the Associate Manager or Manager of Professional Learning, the sales team, and other company professionals, the consultant facilitates professional development, training, support, data analysis, and consultative communication with teachers and school leaders. The role is based in the Portland, Maine area and supports districts throughout New England, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Candidates must live near Portland or be open to relocating there, have their own transportation, and hold a valid driver’s license. Travel of up to 80% is required, including overnight stays and transportation by car, plane, and/or public transportation. Per-diem consultants are scheduled as needed and paid hourly. Work schedules depend heavily on customer demand; professional development is usually scheduled during normal school hours. Peak periods are August through October and January and February, though work takes place throughout the school year. The company cautions that the seasonal, as-needed schedule may not be compatible with a full-time role during school hours. The hourly compensation range is $30 to $65.63, depending on the assigned work, such as at-home work or work directly with educators. Work-related flight and hotel travel points may be retained, and mileage reimbursement may be available. The company provides a laptop. Temporary and per-diem employees averaging at least 30 hours per week within the company’s look-back period may enroll in medical coverage after 90 days. Those working more than 20 hours per week are eligible for twelve paid holidays, and all temporary and per-diem employees are eligible for accrued sick time. Start date: ASAP.
