Coordinates and provides for staff education and development including, but not limited to, orientation and ongoing training and validation. Responsibilities include providing nursing orientation, maintaining standards of the Nursing profession, ensuring staff competency, incorporating technology into teaching, providing continuing education programs, processing class information for Centricity, serving as coordinator for the ABN education provider program, developing and maintaining records, coordinating competency assessment, serving as a clinical site liaison for nursing schools, participating in hospital committees and work groups, leading the development of Lippincott policies, coordinating BLS classes, serving as a BLS, ACLS & PALS instructor, and maintaining performance, patient and employee satisfaction, and financial standards. The role also requires adherence to DCH Standards, the Employee Handbook, DCH Behavioral Standards, and all DCH and FMC policies and procedures. Use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software, and intranet is required.
