About The Position
This role oversees departmental planning, faculty collaboration, and program development to ensure high-quality academic standards and alignment with institutional goals. The position includes teaching undergraduate courses, mentoring students, and contributing to curriculum and program design. The Senior Academic also supports faculty development, promotes innovation in education, and represents the department in institutional initiatives. In addition, the role leads to outreach efforts by building partnerships with schools, community organizations, and professional networks to strengthen the department’s impact and visibility. The course load expectation is 24 credit hours in teaching or instructional-like work.
Requirements
- Master's degree (preferred PhD)
- Experience teaching K-8
- Experience teaching at the college level
