This role involves working alongside certified school personnel to assist in the delivery of the instructional program, primarily within the NYE Early Childhood Center. The Education Behavior Health Assistant (EBHA) will support teachers and students by reinforcing learned material, modeling appropriate language and behavior, preparing resources, and assisting with various instructional and non-instructional activities. This position requires adherence to ethical standards, confidentiality, and effective communication. The EBHA will implement student behavior plans, utilize crisis prevention interventions, and assist with specialized therapies and personal care needs as directed. The role also includes supervising students in various settings, including classrooms, school grounds, field trips, and community-based activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
