About The Position

Brooke Charter Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher (referred to as a Student Support Coordinator) for grades K-2 for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is crucial in building strong relationships with students to foster their academic and personal growth. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to ensure student accommodations and develop intervention plans, including participating in IEP and 504 meetings and professional development. Responsibilities include teaching daily support classes in math, science, life skills, and literacy, as well as drafting, implementing, and maintaining IEPs and 504 plans. A working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is required. Salaries are competitive and based on experience, with an additional stipend for teaching a high-need subject area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in special education or a special education teaching license
  • Working knowledge of federal and state special education laws
  • General knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

  • Professional, warm, and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues
