About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated Education and Outreach Specialist to join their collaborative, multidisciplinary One Community team in the Coastal Plain region of Eastern North Carolina. This role is designed to increase access to care, health literacy, health awareness, and education. The Education and Outreach Specialists serve as a bridge between community members and providers through outreach and education across the Coastal Plain region. This is a community-based position and candidates must reside in Pitt County. The role requires flexibility to accommodate community events outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Travel to Pitt, Edgecombe, Greene, Martin, Beaufort, Wilson, Lenoir, Craven, and surrounding counties is expected.

Requirements

Must reside in Pitt County.
Comfortable traveling to the following counties: Pitt, Edgecombe, Greene, Martin, Beaufort, Wilson, Lenoir, Craven and surrounding counties.
Working relationships with community referrals.
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Great attention to detail.
High School diploma or GED required.
Maintain valid NC driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work.
Must be able to work mornings, evenings, and frequent weekends.
