The Central Oregon Marketplace Outreach and Education Coordinator is an external limited duration position for 12 months, or an internal rotational opportunity with prior manager approval. This role utilizes comprehensive insurance knowledge to analyze and resolve issues for the insurance buying public, providing education and information to protect their rights. The coordinator will gather facts, assess problems, and propose resolutions. The position focuses on identifying gaps in underserved populations and health inequities within an assigned region. Outreach efforts will involve working with existing community engagement initiatives and organizations to ensure systematically marginalized communities receive quality information for informed health coverage decisions. Additionally, the coordinator will provide training and support to Community Partners and Agents statewide, including Grantees, Agents, Application Assisters, volunteer community organizations, medical providers, and other stakeholders. This position supports outreach and education in Crook, Deschutes, Grant, Harney, Jefferson, Lake, Malheur, and Wheeler counties. The central worksite is in Salem, with a potential alternate worksite in a preferred county. After the initial training, the majority of work may be performed remotely when not in the field conducting outreach.
