New York Times Cooking is looking for a strategic, dynamic and discerning editor to lead their talent strategy work, with a focus on cooking video. This role involves working cross-functionally with other leaders to expand and program the roster of contributors who appear on NYT platforms and social channels, and increasingly in Cooking content on their own channels. The editor will identify and engage with skilled recipe creators adept at cooking on camera and connecting with an audience, managing scouting, outreach, creative development, and long-term relationships. The ideal candidate is an innovative strategic thinker with a passion for food, capable of representing Cooking externally and advocating for strategy internally. Expertise in the competitive landscape and YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok is essential, as is the ability to identify unique voices in food.
