ED Technician
About The Position
The ED Technician works at UW Health Swedish American Hospital, 1401 E State St. The position is scheduled at 90% FTE, with three 12-hour shifts from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. each week, every other weekend, and a rotating holiday schedule. Additional compensation may include evening, night, and weekend shift differentials, overtime, and on-call pay. No minimum education or experience is required. A high school diploma or equivalent and computer experience are preferred. Required credentials include one of the specified nursing assistant, EMT, nursing education/registry, international nursing training, or medical assistant certifications, as well as Basic Life Support/CPR certification. Basic EKG and/or phlebotomy is preferred.
Requirements
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or EMT; completion of a fundamentals of nursing course and registration on the Illinois Department of Health Registry; nursing training as an RN or LPN in another country; or RMA, AAMA, CCMA, or NCCT certification.
- Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
