ED Technician
About The Position
Saint Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit, Missouri, is hiring an ED Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care tasks as delegated by and performed under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The position provides basic emergency-room patient care, including bathing and hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding and hydration, and ambulation and positioning. The ED Technician also supports patient safety and satisfaction through regular patient rounds, maintaining emergency department-specific competency, and effective communication with all team members. A nursing assistant certification, EMT certification, or completion of a Fundamentals of Nursing course is considered equivalent to six months of experience. Six months or more of experience as an ED Technician or EMT is preferred. Applicants without experience must successfully complete the SLHS nursing support training program as a condition of hire to the emergency room.

- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
