About The Position

INTEGRIS Health is hiring a full-time ED Tech for the evening shift at Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The ED Tech joins INTEGRIS Health, Oklahoma’s largest not-for-profit health system, in its mission to partner with people to live healthier lives. The role provides patient care and performs unit-specific procedures, assists professional staff with sterile procedures, and monitors and documents patient information. The ED Tech also operates specialized equipment, maintains a clean and stocked unit, and may retrieve and transport medications.

Requirements

Hold one of the following: EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), NREMT (Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician), AUA (Advanced Unlicensed Assistant), or completion of Armed Services Medic Training/Certification.
Hold BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, or CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, within 60 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in an acute care or pre-hospital EMS setting, including venipuncture skills and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

Administer a variety of patient care and special procedures using skills and training specific to the unit.
Assist professional staff with sterile procedures.
Perform patient rounds and report and document information for professional staff and in the chart, including vital signs, patient condition, and transports to and from the unit.
Operate specialized equipment requiring knowledge, skills, and training specific to critical care units.
Maintain a clean unit, including daily disinfection of carriers, daily cleaning and stocking of exam rooms, and stocking linens as needed throughout the shift.
May retrieve and transport medications.
