About The Position

The BYU Department of Economics seeks applicants for two faculty positions from well-qualified candidates with a completed PhD in any area of economics. The appointments would begin Fall 2027. Successful candidates will demonstrate potential for high-quality teaching, have a strong research agenda, and be committed to giving the university's students a sound academic experience. Salary, teaching load, and research and travel support are competitive. This search is for two Continuing Faculty Status (CFS)-track faculty. Requirements

Completed PhD in any field of economics by the start date.
Ability to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university.
Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
If a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
Must abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
