About The Position

This internship is an opportunity for someone eager to learn the ins and outs of ecommerce merchandising and marketing in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment. The Ecommerce Merchandising & Marketing Intern will gain hands‑on experience across onsite merchandising, engagement and conversion analytics, experimentation, and cross‑functional execution. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Product, Creative, Analytics, and Engineering partners to help identify growth opportunities, support experimentation, and improve onsite customer experiences. This role is ideal for someone curious, analytical, and excited to learn how modern ecommerce teams operate.

Requirements

  • Pursuit of a degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Strong curiosity about ecommerce, digital marketing, and online customer behavior
  • Comfort working with data in Excel (ability to sort, filter, summarize)
  • Clear written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while staying organized

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Looker, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Jira or other project management tools
  • Interest in UX, experimentation, or conversion rate optimization
  • Prior internship, coursework, or personal projects related to ecommerce or digital marketing

Responsibilities

  • Dive into ecommerce engagement and performance analytics, learning how teams evaluate traffic, engagement, conversion, and account creation trends using dashboards and reporting tools
  • Support analysis of onsite behavior across entry pages and customer journeys to identify opportunities to improve engagement and conversion
  • Help document insights and learn how analytics translate into product and merchandising decisions
  • Assist with onsite merchandising initiatives, including messaging, content placement, and experience optimization
  • Learn how ecommerce teams prioritize and test merchandising ideas that improve customer experience and business outcomes
  • Support A/B testing and optimization initiatives by helping with setup documentation, results tracking, and recap summaries
  • Learn how to translate insights into clear, actionable creative briefs for designers and content teams
  • Assist in writing briefs that articulate the problem, hypothesis, audience, and success metrics for onsite experiments
  • Gain exposure to experimentation best practices and how results inform future roadmap decisions
  • Learn how ecommerce initiatives move from idea to execution by helping create and manage Jira stories and tasks
  • Support documentation of requirements, acceptance criteria, and test plans
  • Gain hands‑on experience working within agile, cross‑functional workflows alongside Product, Engineering, Creative, and Marketing partners
  • Build foundational understanding of how ecommerce teams operate day‑to‑day, including planning cycles, testing roadmaps, and performance reviews
  • Participate in team meetings and planning discussions to learn how priorities are set and resources allocated
  • Support ad‑hoc projects that provide exposure to merchandising, marketing, and growth initiatives
