About The Position

The Ecommerce Assistant sorts and selects merchandise for online sale, prepares and lists items using ecommerce software, and supports inventory and order management. The role also provides customer service through email or messaging platforms, monitors online competition, and helps ensure listings meet quality and compliance standards. The work includes hands-on merchandise tasks and regular lifting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Tech-savvy and detail-oriented.
• Clear written communication skills and basic photography skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Team player with a passion for purpose-driven work.
• Commitment to quality, integrity, and learning.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong near, midrange, and color vision.

Responsibilities

• Sort and select merchandise for online sale.
• Clean and photograph items and write descriptions for listed merchandise.
• Research item details using online resources.
• List items using ecommerce software, including descriptions, photos, and pricing.
• Update inventory and manage orders, returns, and exchanges.
• Provide customer service via email or messaging platforms.
• Monitor online competition and recommend improvements.
• Ensure listings meet quality and compliance standards.
• Report theft, loss, or safety concerns.
