About The Position
Join our dynamic cardiology team as an Echocardiogram Technician and make a meaningful difference in patients' lives every day. We're seeking a skilled and compassionate cardiac imaging professional to deliver exceptional diagnostic care using state-of-the-art ultrasound technology. In this role, you'll perform both routine and complex cardiac ultrasound procedures with precision, directly contributing to accurate diagnoses and improved patient outcomes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program (CAAHEP-approved or CMA-approved)
- Current RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) certification
- 2–4 years of echocardiography experience
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety practices and emergency protocols
- Proficiency with ultrasound systems and imaging technologies
- Ability to follow detailed examination protocols with precision and accuracy
- Exceptional customer service skills and professional communication abilities
Nice To Haves
- EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition experience
- Experience with advanced cardiac imaging techniques
- Familiarity with NextGen EHR systems
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures using advanced techniques consistent with clinical protocols and ultrasound safety best practices
- Triage patients appropriately according to acuity level, verify patient identification, review orders for appropriateness, and document relevant clinical history
- Acquire and submit precise, comprehensive exam images with detailed worksheets and templates for physician interpretation
- Maintain accurate, compliant records in NextGen (EHR), ICAEL Logbook, and laboratory databases to support accreditation standards
- Demonstrate consistent adherence to clinical policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Maintain current professional credentials (RDCS or RCS) and fulfill continuing education requirements to support laboratory accreditation
- Contribute to department excellence and team success through collaborative teamwork and additional responsibilities as needed
