About The Position

Heritage Imaging is hiring an Echo Technologist (Echocardiographer) to provide mobile diagnostic cardiac imaging services in Guttenberg, Waukon, Decorah, and surrounding Iowa communities. The position starts part-time, with the potential to grow quickly into full-time as patient volume and service needs increase. The schedule is Monday through Friday during daytime hours, with no nights, weekends, or holidays. Specific days and hours will be based on operational needs and availability, with the goal of providing dependable hours as services expand.

The technologist performs echocardiograms and cardiac ultrasound examinations, delivers compassionate patient-centered care, and obtains accurate diagnostic images in accordance with protocols and quality standards. The role involves working independently across different clinical settings while collaborating with healthcare providers, facility staff, and the Heritage Imaging team. Travel to assigned regional locations is required.

Candidates must hold RDCS certification through ARDMS or RCS certification through CCI and current American Heart Association BLS certification. An associate or bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology, or completion of an accredited CAAHEP ultrasound technology program, is required. One to two years of professional echocardiography experience is preferred; stress echocardiography experience is a plus. Employment is contingent on completing applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check and drug screening.

Requirements

• Hold RDCS certification through ARDMS or RCS certification through CCI.
• Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Have an associate or bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology, or have completed an accredited CAAHEP ultrasound technology program.
• Have strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Be able to work independently, adapt to different clinical environments, and collaborate with a team.
• Be willing to travel to assigned regional locations.
• Successfully complete applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of professional echocardiography experience is preferred.
• Experience performing stress echocardiograms is a plus.
