About The Position

Dallas Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking an Echo Tech for its Cardiopulmonary Department. The hospital is a 202-bed acute care facility offering emergency care, cardiology, wound care, surgical services, cardiac catheterization, and imaging.

The Echo Tech uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, the ventricle, and the left atrium, and visualize blood flow. The role also assists physicians with complex ultrasound procedures and supports efficient Cardiopulmonary Department operations through appropriate management of clerical functions, document handling, interpersonal relationships, and information gathering and distribution.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintenance of current certification required.
• ARDMS or CCI credential required.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an Echocardiogram program certification preferred.
• EKG rhythm analysis/interpretation certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to assist the physician with TEE testing preferred.
• Previous experience performing echocardiograms for patients of all ages preferred.
• Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred.
• Registered Echocardiographer preferred.
• Ability to perform stress testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician with complex ultrasound procedures.
• Support the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department by managing clerical functions, document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships, and information gathering and distribution.
