About The Position

The Echo Tech uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, the ventricle, and the left atrium, and visualize blood flow. The position assists physicians with complex ultrasound procedures and supports the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through appropriate management of clerical functions, document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships, and information gathering and distribution. This is a part-time, day-shift position at Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and an ARDMS or CCI credential. A current BCLS (AHA) certificate is required upon hire and must be maintained. The listed compensation estimate is $39.93 to $58.26; actual starting compensation depends on factors including skills, applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.

High school diploma or equivalent.
ARDMS or CCI credential required.
Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.

Nice To Haves

Completion of an echocardiogram program certification.
EKG rhythm analysis/interpretation certificate or equivalent.
Ability to assist physicians with TEE testing.
Previous experience performing echocardiograms for patients of all ages.
Hospital experience in the cardiology field.
Registered Echocardiographer credential.
Ability to perform stress testing.
