About The Position

INTEGRIS Health is hiring a PRN ECG Technician in Diagnostic Cardiology at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The role performs diagnostic testing for patients of all ages, including electrocardiograms, cardiac stress testing, and 24-hour Holter monitoring. PRN work offers flexible scheduling and competitive pay. The technician also maintains patient records and departmental logs, handles test results and related charges through information systems, supports interpretation services, and evaluates and maintains equipment. The work involves exposure to electrical equipment, infectious patients and materials, blood and body fluids, disinfectants, and occasionally seriously ill or uncooperative neonates and children. The technician may work a variety of shifts and must wear protective clothing when required.

Requirements

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

Six months of ECG experience.
Computer experience.
Completion of a Basic ECG Interpretation course or equivalent, or completion of one year of college.

Responsibilities

Maintain patient files and departmental log sheets in proper order.
Participate in departmental and institutional Performance Improvement Plans (PIP).
Perform diagnostic testing and procedures, including electrocardiograms, cardiac stress testing, and 24-hour Holter monitoring.
Log, record, transcribe, chart, distribute, or post test results after physician review and interpretation.
Process reports and associated charges through information systems according to policies and procedures.
Assist ECG management service clients in obtaining routine and stat interpretations.
Perform regular equipment evaluations and maintenance, including defibrillator checks and emergency cart checks, according to established policies.
Wear universal safety protective clothing when required.
