About The Position

The Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher is responsible for providing specialized instruction and support services to students with disabilities in a middle school setting. The EC Teacher develops and implements Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborates with general education teachers, parents, and support staff, and ensures students receive appropriate accommodations and modifications to support academic, social, and emotional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local special education laws and regulations.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school personnel regarding student progress.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.
