About The Position

The Early Morning Stocker helps customers shop and locate products, provides friendly service and checkout, and supports store operations. Duties include unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, maintaining store recovery standards, and assisting with online order fulfillment. Team members are cross-trained in Custom Framing sales and production and may perform other duties as assigned. The position is based in a public retail store; hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings. Michaels requires team members in this role to be at least 16 years old.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Ability to remain standing for long periods and move throughout the store.
Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly.
Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

Nice To Haves

Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Help customers shop, locate products, and find solutions.
Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience and handle cash according to standards.
Explain Rewards and Private Label Credit Card benefits and complete enrollments.
Educate customers about the Voice of Customer survey.
Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS) processes.
Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes.
Complete merchandise recovery, returns, and general store recovery to maintain a well-merchandised, in-stock store.
Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and ad-set duties as assigned.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Follow standard operating procedures, company programs, policies, and standards, including applicable legal requirements.
Interact respectfully and positively with others, promote the organization’s vision and values, and serve as a role model for team members.
Cross-train in Custom Framing sales and production.
Perform other duties as assigned.
