About The Position

Early Learning Corps is hiring Early Learning Tutors to support students in pre-kindergarten classrooms during the 2026–27 school year. Tutors partner with classroom teachers to help preschoolers develop early literacy and math skills and build confidence through activities such as talking, reading, writing, singing, and playing. Tutors receive training and ongoing coaching. Positions run from January 2027 through June 2027. The schedule is 32 hours per week, with fewer hours during weeks with holidays or school release days; part-time positions of 25 hours per week are also available. Work takes place during daytime school hours, Monday through Friday, with time off on holidays and school release days. AmeriCorps members commit to a total number of service hours for the program year. Most hours are completed at the service site, and members work with program staff to plan their schedules. Approved service or training may occasionally take place outside the school day. Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a stipend every two weeks, at $18.00 per hour served, along with additional benefits. Early Learning Corps is administered by Ampact, a nonprofit organization, and is powered by AmeriCorps members serving as tutors.
