Early Learning Corps is hiring Early Learning Tutors to serve in pre-kindergarten classrooms during the 2026–27 school year. Working in partnership with a teacher, tutors help preschool students build early literacy and math skills, confidence, and a love of learning through activities such as talking, reading, writing, singing, and playing. Tutors receive training and ongoing coaching to deliver proven learning activities and support students throughout the school day. The position runs from August 2026 through June 2027. Full-time positions are 35 hours per week, with fewer hours during weeks that include holidays or school release days; part-time options are also available at 25 or 15 hours per week. Hours are during the day and correspond with school start and end times, Monday through Friday. Members have holidays and school release days off. AmeriCorps members have a total service-hour commitment for the program year. Most service hours are completed at the assigned site, and members may occasionally complete approved service or training outside the school day as needed. Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a paycheck every two weeks, with compensation of $17.50 per hour served. Benefits include individual health insurance with the monthly premium fully covered, child care assistance based on family size and income, a member assistance program, and education benefits. Education benefits include up to $5,176.50 for college tuition or student loans, federal student loan forbearance and interest repayment, and time accrual toward the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. Tutors age 55 or older may transfer the education award to a qualified family member.
