About The Position

Early Learning Corps is hiring Early Learning Tutors to support preschool students in pre-kindergarten classrooms. Working in partnership with a teacher, tutors deliver proven learning activities and provide students with additional attention to build early literacy and math skills, confidence, and a love of learning. Tutors receive training and ongoing coaching. Positions are for the 2026–27 school year and run from August 2026 through June 2027. Full-time positions are 35 hours per week, with fewer hours during weeks with holidays or school release days; part-time positions are also available at 25 or 15 hours per week. Hours are during the day and correspond with school start and end times, Monday through Friday, with holidays and school release days off. AmeriCorps members have a total service-hour commitment for the program year. Most service hours are completed at their assigned site, and members may occasionally complete approved service or training outside the school day as needed. Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a paycheck (stipend) every two weeks, at $17.50 per hour served. Benefits include individual health insurance with the monthly premium fully covered, child care assistance based on family size and income, a member assistance program, and education benefits. Education benefits include up to $5,176.50 for college tuition or student loans (with tutors age 55 or older able to transfer the award to a qualified family member), federal student loan forbearance and interest repayment, and time accrual toward the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
