About The Position

This position is for an Early Learning Paraprofessional at Maple Grove Elementary School. The role involves supervising students, working with them individually or in group settings under the direction of professional staff, and consistently monitoring their learning and behaviors. The paraprofessional will be available for any student need, including health, toileting, behavior, and self-help skills. Additionally, the role requires attending district workshops and trainings to continue learning about Early Childhood Education. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must have at least 12 credit hours in early childhood education, a current CDA credential, two years post secondary education or Paraeducator certificate.
• Required to obtain pediatric first aid and CPR.
• Willingness to assume responsibility.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Flexibility in working with classroom teachers.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Enjoy working with preschool age children.
• Ability to effectively supervise students while maintaining a positive relationship with them.
