About The Position

The Early Learning Center Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, coordinating, and controlling the childcare program’s services. The role exercises delegated independent judgment and decision-making authority, including over policies, procedures, and faculty supervision. Under general supervision, the manager operates the program in accordance with institutional regulations and state childcare licensing provisions. The position oversees the center’s early childhood program and operations, and facilitates, plans, and coordinates children’s educational programs and activities. It reports to either the Operations Manager or the Chief Operations Officer, depending on assignment.

Requirements

Associate degree.
Experience teaching in an early learning environment.
Ability to lift 25–35 lbs.
Ability to walk, kneel, sit, and stand for long periods.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s or associate degree in Early Childhood Education (E.C.E.).
Knowledge of state licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement program operating policies and activities as required.
Plan, develop, schedule, and/or provide faculty in-service training and evaluation.
Ensure the center and staff comply with federal, state, and local rules, regulations, and licensing requirements.
Recruit and schedule children; maintain accurate records of enrolled children’s development, attendance, immunization, and general health; conduct program registration; and maintain appropriate files and waiting lists.
Confer regularly with parents about the development of their enrolled children.
Conduct marketing campaigns for prospective families.
Prepare and maintain administrative and business reports and records.
Ensure staff problems are resolved.
Attend marketing and recruiting events, including evenings and weekends.
Ensure children’s well-being and the quality of the learning environment.
