About The Position

ITS is seeking an Early Intervention Specialist and Floortime® player to work with children with special needs ages 0–5. The role provides early intervention classes, assessments, and/or weekly direct therapy services to individuals of various ages and with varying diagnoses. The position involves assessing, developing, and implementing therapeutic intervention plans and working as part of an interdisciplinary team. ITS serves clients throughout Los Angeles County, both in its clinic and in clients’ homes. The organization takes a developmental approach to learning and emphasizes making learning fun and memorable through sensory experiences. Its operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with flexible scheduling. Compensation is offered as a competitive hourly rate or salary.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Psychology, Child Psychology, or another related field.
Active Special Education teaching certificate.
Experience assessing, developing, and implementing therapeutic intervention plans for children.

Nice To Haves

DIR ICLD certification is preferred.
Experience with and/or certification in the DIR/Floortime model, a clear understanding of human development, and the ability to explain it are needed to qualify for the high end of the pay range.
