About The Position
Chambliss Center for Children is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher with a strong commitment to early childhood education to work at their Little Scholars Site. Little Scholars is a mixed-age early childhood classroom that operates in conjunction with the MOMentum Network, a nonprofit supporting single moms seeking higher education. The teacher will play a pivotal role in nurturing the intellectual, emotional, and social growth of the children, fostering a love for learning and shaping the future generation.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- Have prior experience working with children in a classroom or group setting.
- Have patience, compassion, and creativity necessary for working with young children.
- Be reliable.
- Be able to work well with other team members and parents.
Nice To Haves
- Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate
Responsibilities
- Keep children safe and engaged during play, learning, and daily routines.
- Lead fun activities that help kids grow in how they think, move, and get along with others.
- Keep the classroom clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Work closely with other teachers, parents, and volunteers.
- Watch for health needs and help children as needed.
