About The Position

MercyOne is seeking a qualified and knowledgeable Teacher for the House of Mercy program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professional commitment to promoting children's learning and development, supporting diverse family needs, and fostering a nurturing environment. This role involves using center-endorsed curriculum and assessments to help each child reach their full potential. Teachers will focus on social-emotional development, building secure relationships, and providing positive guidance. A commitment to implementing health, safety, and developmentally appropriate teaching practices consistent with NAEYC, Early Head Start, and HHS Licensing Standards is essential.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older and meet all HHS requirements for hire.
Knowledge and skills in child development and early childhood education.
The ability to work with children and families who are experiencing special circumstances (e.g., homelessness, substance use, trauma).
Ability to move and react quickly.
Ability to get up and down from the floor.
Ability to use a computer and Google Platform.

Nice To Haves

Prior work experience within an early childhood center-based program preferred.
