About The Position

As part of the newly establish Early Childhood Council for Jefferson, Gilpin and Clear Creek Counties, we are seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Early Childhood Quality Support Specialist to support early childhood quality improvement initiatives and provider navigation efforts. This position works closely with childcare providers, community partners, and internal staff to strengthen access to high-quality early learning services across Jefferson County. This position allows for a hybrid work schedule, both remote/community and in-office as determined by business needs. This is a grant funded position dependent on available funds.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three (3) years of work-related experience
  • Criminal History and MVR Background Checks are required for every position.
  • Offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of criminal history, motor vehicle report, education verification, and/or references.
  • A valid Colorado driver’s license is required for positions that drive on County Business in either a county or personal vehicle shall have a Colorado Driver’s license within 30 days of hire or beginning to serve as an intern or volunteer.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in early childhood education, human services, program coordination, or provider support systems.
  • Knowledge of Colorado Shines, Universal Preschool (UPP), PDIS, or other Colorado early childhood systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases, and virtual meeting platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding, scheduling, communication, and follow-up activities for childcare providers participating in quality improvement and provider support initiatives.
  • Support implementation of Colorado Shines Quality Improvement (CSQI), Provider Navigation, and related early childhood programs.
  • Track provider participation, expenditures, program data, and required documentation to support grant compliance and reporting.
  • Coordinate trainings, meetings, technical assistance activities, and professional development opportunities for providers and partners.
  • Maintain accurate databases, records, calendars, and project tracking systems to support program implementation and continuous quality improvement.
  • Communicate regularly with providers, contractors, school districts, and community organizations to support collaboration and engagement.
  • Assist providers in accessing community resources, trainings, and quality improvement supports.
  • Support outreach, communication, and special projects related to early childhood systems and services.
