About The Position

Riverside Community Care is seeking an Early Childhood Developmental Specialist to join our Early Childhood Services team in Cambridge/Somerville. This role is within our Early Intervention program, where an interdisciplinary team supports families with children aged 0-3 years who have or are at risk for developmental delays or disorders. We utilize a dyadic relationship-based approach, practicing cultural humility to understand and respect family values, beliefs, priorities, routines, sources of stress, goals, and intervention needs. Our primary goal is to enhance the mutual enjoyment of daily activities and interactions between children and their caregivers, while addressing specific developmental delays and challenges. Our methods include parent support, coaching, education, and direct work with children as needed. We are committed to clinical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. The position offers support through a collaborative team, weekly team meetings, monthly discipline-specific meetings, staff meetings, and weekly reflective supervision. A cover letter is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or Early Childhood required.
  • At least one year of experience with infant/toddler development, early intervention, or special needs is required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • CEIS preferred.
  • Experience with autism preferred.

Responsibilities
