About The Position
DISCOVERY Children’s Museum seeks a self-motivated, enthusiastic Early Childhood Presenter to join an interpretive floor team of adults, teen volunteers, and interns. The role supports the museum’s mission to ignite a lifelong love of learning through welcoming, inclusive, hands-on educational experiences. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and helps create a mission-oriented setting through excellent customer service and efficiency. The position is based at DISCOVERY Children’s Museum in Las Vegas, Nevada, and pays $14.00 per hour. The role interacts with teachers, students, and families; explains hands-on exhibits; presents educational demonstrations and public programs; assists with special activities; and supports volunteers throughout the museum. The position requires a flexible schedule that includes weekends and occasional evenings, with schedules subject to change based on organizational needs. Physical requirements include light and heavy lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, bending, walking, and standing.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Passion for children and learning.
- Experience working in the field of Early Childhood Education.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and occasional evenings.
- Ability to perform the listed physical activities, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in an Early Childhood discipline or related discipline preferred.
- Teaching experience highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Interact positively and engagingly with teachers, students, and families.
- Explain hands-on exhibits.

- Support volunteers throughout the museum.
