About The Position

Under general supervision, this position leads high school, trade school, college, and university recruitment activities for assigned region(s) and/or business unit(s). The incumbent partners with hiring managers, People Business Partners, and other internal stakeholders to address workforce needs, serves as a brand ambassador for J.B. Hunt on campuses, and drives internship program efforts. This role leverages recruiting data and pipeline analytics to optimize campus outreach, manages post-event follow-ups, and coaches recruiters on effective candidate-engagement approaches that reinforce positive outcomes.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or Trade Certifications with 1 year in a role involving regular customer interactions, building rapport, or relevant experience, and/or military equivalent OR 2 years in a role involving regular customer interactions, building rapport, or relevant experience, and/or military equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all recruiting activities adhere to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) principles and company policies
  • Own and lead campus recruiting strategy and execution, including, but not limited to, career fairs, advertising, information sessions, and interview days; leverage historical hiring and event data to optimize school strategy and ROI
  • Build and maintain relationships with students, faculty, and campus organizations to strengthen J.B. Hunt’s employer brand
  • Identify and implement recruiting strategies that capture a broad range of skills across high schools, universities and trade schools; continuously evaluate approach to optimize recruiting results in partnership with peers across the organization
  • Manage the early-career pipeline for partner schools by tracking candidate flow and overseeing post-event follow-ups; reconcile data to improve conversion from event to applicant to hire
  • Expand candidate access by identifying additional campus groups, events, and outreach efforts that align to the campus strategy and broaden participation beyond "traditional" recruiting channels
  • Advise hiring managers on pay/salary and recommend recruiting strategies aligned with business goals
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align campus relationship work with business needs to ensure talent pools support targeted roles and programs
  • Coach recruiters on candidate-engagement tactics throughout the hiring process to sustain interest, proactively address inhibitors, and continually deliver a positive experience that upholds the J.B. Hunt's employer brand and reinforces trust with partner campuses
  • Participate in administering intern experience surveys, championing strong response rates and contributing to discussions on incorporating feedback to improve the program
